Waroona Amateur Basketball Association Inc.

History: Juniors

The Waroona Redbacks season continues each year - and has been successful in developing the branding of the club as Waroona Redbacks, with the creation of a new club logo, new club shirts and an interactive website among the many highlights we can pride ourselves on.

The junior committee now and in the past consists of many passionate volunteers who do their best to ensure our children have a competition in which they can develop and utilise their skills! These dedicated volunteers came from a variety of backgrounds, ages and experiences,  and  because of these volunteers, a huge progress in terms of club development, and individual player, coach and umpire development was made. Junior basketball in Waroona reached a new level of professionalism and a bright future became evident.

2014/15 season

This season saw the first ever joint juniors and seniors Grand Final & Presentations Night was a successful fun family event, with music all day and night, a food stall serving hot food, snacks, sweets and drinks, and a Mr Whippy van. This ensured the sidelines were packed with spectators, with an estimated 400 players, coaches, parents, frineds, community members and life members supporting our club and enjoying the local talent we are proud of. The inaugral joint Grand Final & Presentation saw one of the biggest crowds we ever had, and very even grand finals throughout - most within 2 or 3 points!
