Fees: Seniors
FEES
Fees can be broken down into the following categories:
BWA Affiliation Fee – The affiliation fee covers each players affiliation with BWA (Basketball Western Australia) and is extremely important for insurance purposes. This fee is paid directly to BWA upon registration.
Association Affiliation Fee – The affiliation fee covers each players affiliation with WABA (Waroona Amateur Basketball Association) and assists in covering the costs of umpires, equipment etc.
Game Fee – The game fee covers the cost of the court hire and other day to day costs associated with running the competition.
AFFILIATION FEE
Affiliation fees are to be paid by the fourth playing fixtured game of the season. They are set at $40 per player.
Players starting after the fourth fixtured game must pay before the start of their second game, unless only a fill-in player.
Team captains are responsible for collecting all their teams affiliation fees and handing to the Treasurer or Office Manager.
If a player plays without authorisation from the Management Commitee without payment of affiliation fees, then that team automatically forfeits 4 premiership points for playing an unregistered player until such dues are paid.
GAME FEE
A $10 court hire fee is collected from each player per game. Place in the game envelope on the scoresheet on the night. Some players may choose to pay the game fee as one lump sum, this can be worked out by calculating the number of rounds multiplied by $10. This varies for each grade depending on the number of teams.
* Please note that the lump sum is non-refundable. If a game is not player or forfeited, the game fee for that night will not be refunded *
For example:
A four team competition has 15 rounds:
15 x $10 = $150 Total Game Fee
A five team competition has 12 rounds:
12 x $10 = $120 Total Game Fee
KIDSPORT
Children who are eligible for KidSport will be advised by letter of their KidSport payment amount. That amount is then deducted from the combined fee and game fees. Kidsport may not cover the entire cost of the fees and players may be required to pay a balance.
Do you have a Health Care card or a Pension Concession Card? If you do, you are eligible for KidSport funding.
